AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil
is a premium lubricant designed to provide superior protection for motorcycles. Formulated through extensive research, it excels in all areas critical to motorcycles, including high temperatures typical of air-cooled engines like Harley-Davidson* V-twins, wet-clutch lubrication, extreme-pressure gear and chain regions, and rust prevention common during short trips and storage. AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Oil meets the requirements of both domestic and foreign motorcycles.
Based on testing against Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle SYN3 purchased on 1/26/24 in the CEC L45-KRL, ASTM D445 test, AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil reduces wear and deposits. Powerful V-twin engines, especially in hot conditions like summer stop-and-go or parade traffic, stress standard oils, inviting wear and performance-reducing deposits. AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil uses naturally heat-resistant synthetic base oils that resist oxidation in extreme heat. It includes heavy anti-wear additives that reduce wear in all operating conditions. After 1,000 miles of dyno testing where oil temperatures reached 250°F and cylinder temperatures reached 300°F, AMSOIL fought piston ring deposits to prevent sticking and maximize compression and power, shown in the image.
AMSOIL V-Twin Oil also protects transmissions and primary chaincases with exceptional performance. It remains shear stable and resists thinning due to mechanical activity, performing like a gear lube without the negative effects of extreme pressure additives. It resists viscosity breakdown 8 times better than Harley-Davidson SYN3* for improved protection against compensator and transmission gear wear.
