Application
- Create direct access to the throttle valve.
- Start the engine to begin cleaning.
- Spray the Throttle Valve Cleaner across the entire area of the throttle valve in intervals of 2–3 seconds at a minimum of 2,000 RPM using the spray probe.
- If the engine cannot maintain the speed with the intake pipe removed or cannot be started, disconnect the plug from the air flow meter with the ignition switched off. After cleaning, delete the stored fault from the engine control unit using a suitable diagnostic device and retrain the air flow meter if necessary.
- If speed fluctuations of more than 1,000 RPM occur during application, shorten the spray intervals. Ensure that the Throttle Valve Cleaner does not come into contact with the air flow meter or painted components.
- For stubborn deposits on the throttle valve, intake manifold, or intake valves, repeat the cleaning process with a second can if necessary. After use, allow the engine to run for about 20 seconds at a minimum of 2,000 RPM to burn off any remaining residues in the intake system.
